Landscape
I absolutely love this picture of my cousin Ryan. This picture shows leading lines leading your eyes up to the center of the picture. I used rule of thirds for this picture making my cousin the center of the picture. I took this picture from crouching down on the ground to get the perfect picture. I used a fast shutter speed with a large depth of field. It also shows foreground, middleground, and background. This picture has a really pretty contrast between the colors and a compelling subject matter. The picture sets the mood to be peaceful and it also shows interest because the person looking at this doesnt know what the boy would be looking at. (Looking at the beach)
Pattern&Texture
This is a picture i took of clams for our pattern and texture assignment. The picture shows line throughout and each line leads into the next clam. Each have the shape and unique patten. This picture shows texture and repetition of the clams. The point of view of the picture was that bucket was placed on the floor and i took the picture standing above it. I used a fast shutter speed with a large depth of field.
This is a picture i took looking up a lighthouse. I really like this picture because the spiral of the stairs leads your eyes throughout the picture (Leading lines) I look this with a fast shutter speed and a large depth of field. The picture shows line, shape and texture throughout. I think this is a compelling subject matter that sets the mood to be mysterious because you dont know where the stairs could lead you.
Light
This is a photo i took for our painting Light assignment. It shows line, shape, pattern, and repetition throughout the picture. I used the rule of thirds for the picture putting the darker spot (The white) in the middle of the grids. This picture shows leading lines because the first thing you see is the outline of the person then your eyes wander to the circle made by the light. I used a slow shutter speed with 10 seconds and had with a large depth of field. This shows black and white vs. color and positive and negitive space. This photo sets the mood to be mysterious because you dont know what could happen next.
Depth&Field
This is a picture of two cars for our Depth & Field assignment. I think the blurriness of the green car leads the viewers eyes to the blue van. (Leading Lines) I used a fast shutter speed and a shallow depth of field to get the green car blurry. We placed a black cloth in the back and had a light shinning on the cars to get it to look like this. (Contrast between colors) I didnt use the rule of thirds for this picture.
Scape
This is a picture i took while in South Carolina when i was walking the beach. This picture shows texture on the tree branches from the water. It also shows foreground, middleground, and background. This picture shows leading lines. From the foam of the ocean, to the branches, and finally to the water and the sky. I used a fast shutter speed and a large depth of field. I think this picture has a compelling subject matter because everything just fits together and makes this photo really pretty and peaceful. To take this picture i sat down and got this point of view. Over all, this is my favorite picture.
